Investigations by the Department of Corrections and police into allegations that Scott Watson sent a teenage girl cellphone photos of his genitals have stalled.
The convicted double-murderer's cell at Christchurch Prison was searched last week using new cellphone detection equipment after Corrections received an anonymous letter allegedly from the 15-year-old's parents claiming Watson had sent her disturbing messages and picture texts.
A Corrections spokesman said the department had been unable to take the investigation any further despite an invitation for the girl's parents to provide more information.
