Catherine Donaldson will have to get used to handling 305 horsepower - the Subaru WRX STI she won this week packs a bit more punch than her Toyota.
Donaldson, a Taumarunui sheep and beef farmer, won the car this week in the "Be In To Win The New Subaru STI" competition advertised in the Herald on Sunday and the NZ Herald.
Donaldson, 48, was one of 225,800 people to enter the competition to win the $60,000 prize.
"I can't really believe it. I never win anything."
Donaldson has had to fend off inquiries from her sons since she won. Sam, 24, "thought it would be a jolly good car for him in Auckland".
Thomas, 22, also thought the car would be better suited for him. "It's definitely staying with me," she said.
