KEY POINTS:
The wife and family of a New Zealander who went missing in London more than five years ago are hoping a private investigator will find some answers.
Lee Sheppard went missing in London on January 31, 2003, and has not been seen or heard from since.
His phone and bank accounts have never been touched.
The 26-year-old was working a night shift in north-west London when he was last seen about 2am.
It was thought he was walking home to the Cricklewood house he shared with Juliet, his wife of five years, but he never turned up.
Just hours earlier Juliet had told Lee she was pregnant with their first child, and Lee had been excited about the news.
Now more than five years later, private investigator Ron McQuilter left for London on Friday to spend a month trying to find the truth about Lee's disappearance.
