KEY POINTS:
Privacy International has apologised for a blunder in a report which labelled New Zealand workplaces as among the world's worst for prying on staff.
Simon Davies, director of the London-based organisation, said New Zealand had been given the wrong score in the global rankings.
New Zealand got the lowest score for workplace monitoring - on a scale of one to five - for its "extensive surveillance".
But it was recorded incorrectly and NZ should have got a "two", Mr Davies said yesterday.
"Privacy International unreservedly apologises to the people of New Zealand for any embarrassment this error may have caused."
