A prisoner who went on the run after escaping from court custody yesterday has been caught by police.
Ihaka Kawana, 21, allegedly absconded from Department of Corrections' custody at the Nelson District Court around 5pm, police said.
Police said he was found on a property at Rentone St, Nelson about 11.40am today.
