A prisoner due to be sentenced on drug-related charges next week has gone on a hunger strike at Auckland's Central Remand centre.
Frank Aroh stopped eating eight days ago in protest over what he calls an unfair trial which "deprived" him of his rights.
He is also angry over the initial police investigation which he alleges was "jacked up".
