A former senior manager at Upper Hutt's Rimutaka Prison has admitted conspiring to sell cannabis to inmates.
Jeffrey Reid, 45, pleaded guilty to cultivating cannabis and conspiracy to deal drugs when he appeared in Wellington District Court this morning.
He was remanded on bail for sentencing on June 24.
Reid, who had worked for the Corrections Department for about 20 years, was a unit manager in charge of a high-security section.
He was arrested after a month-long investigation at the prison in 2009.
