Vegetables being grown in prisons throughout the country are being given back to the community.
Vegetables grown at Spring Hill Prison in the Waikato are donated to food banks and to the information centre at Te Kauwhata for distribution.
At Rimutaka Prison, five units are growing and donating vegetables to local marae and food banks.
