Auckland Prison's hoping for a smooth transition today after the two prisoners who spent the weekend up a tower came down yesterday.
The two, including serial escapee Aaron Forden, holed themselves up in the tower mid morning on Friday, protesting their placement at Paremoremo.
Prison Services acting general manager Jeanette Burns says a full investigation will take place as a matter of course.
She says everything is slowly getting back to normal.
"We will keep some additional staff on to just ensure that going back to completely normal happens without any incident and then it will just be business as usual."
