A Mt Maunganui woman caught dealing drugs twice in just over six weeks has been sent to jail.
Shannon Allice Rampton, 24, was arrested on March 17 after multiple anonymous tips to the Crimestopper hotline.
She was charged with possession of methamphetamine and cannabis for supply and possession of methamphetamine utensils.
When police searched her home on March 17, they found a "drug kit" which included cannabis bagged in 2g lots, a set of scales, empty snaplock bags and six glass pipes containing methamphetamine residue.
Next to the box was a tin holding small bags of P and in her handbag were more small bags of the drug. A total of 50g of cannabis and 6g of P was found, with $2460 cash.
On April 29, she was caught again when she was stopped in her car for a breath test.
Rampton, who was also disqualified from driving, had P, cannabis and cash in her handbag and a set of digital scales, a P-pipe and a diary believed to contain a list of drug transactions in her car.
In the Tauranga District Court on Wednesday, Judge Thomas Ingram said a jail sentence of 2 years would put Rampton in the hands of the Parole Board, which would tightly control her release.
