Masterton's William Prior has won a bronze medal at the Australian age group swimming championships in Brisbane.
Prior won his medal in the 200m freestyle in a day that the NZers won a total of 13 medals including five gold.
The gold medals were won by Kelly Bentley, of Wellington, Aucklander Glenn Snyders, John Gatfield, of Wellington, Jordyn Mahanga, of Hawke's Bay, and Cara Baker, of Manawatu.
Bentley set a national age group record in the 100m breaststroke for 16 years, clocking a time of one minute 11.38 seconds in the final.
Snyders won the 100m breaststroke final for 17-18 years in 1min 3.84sec while Gatfield took out the 100m backstroke 14 years title in 1min 0.23sec.
Mahanga won the girls' 15 years 200m breaststroke final in 2min 37.71sec and Baker took out the 14 years 200m individual medley in 2min 23.38sec.
Baker also won silver medals in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle and 200m individual medley.
Sndyers also collected a second medal, claiming silver in the 100m breaststroke.
Two silver medals went to Wellington's Mark Turner in the 13 years 100m backstroke and Chad Konik, of Auckland, in the 14 years 100m breaststroke.
Two bronze medals were won including Prior's the other being Amini Fonua, of Auckland, in the 15 years 200m breaststroke. ? NZPA
