Shannon Turner from the Taonga Education Centre in Manurewa received her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award from Prince Edward at the Villa Maria Estate in Mangere yesterday.
Auckland was the final stop in the Prince's four-day tour.
He later had lunch with the British NZ Business Association before heading aboard the Spirit of New Zealand.
The Governor-General and his wife hosted the Prince for dinner last night before he left for London.
