A Sydney court has ordered a St John of God priest and brother to be extradited to New Zealand to face child-abuse charges.
Lawyers for the 57-year-old priest and 69-year-old brother will apply for a review of the decision.
Magistrate Hugh Dillon said it would be unjust to order the extradition of a third man, an 83-year-old brother, who is suffering from cerebral atrophy.
The three men face 64 charges of sexual abuse of boys at Marylands school in Christchurch, which was run by the St John of God Order between 1955 and 1985.
