Here's your chance to buy a slice of coastal property.
A river peninsula retreat on Northland's Ngunguru River is being offered for sale.
The 16.5 hectare property is located off Ngunguru Road, approximately five kilometres south of the coastal town of Ngunguru, 25 kilometres from Whangarei and close to the Tutukaka coast.
It encompasses a three-fingered ridge which juts out into the river. There are covenanted plantings of mature native bush at the river's edge. A valley on the northern part of the property also contains covenanted native bush with a track running through it.
Bayleys Whangarei's David Roy, who is marketing the property in conjunction with John Ledingham, says it offers a number of elevated building sites with expansive rural, river and coastal views. He says the stands of native bush provide excellent shelter and a picturesque backdrop to the potential building areas.
Roy says there is a river landing on the western side of the property from which kayaks or small boats could be launched. He says the property could appeal to families looking to build a secluded holiday retreat but it also has subdivision potential.
The property is being offered for sale by auction at Bayleys Maritime Square auction rooms in Auckland on March 1.
Lorraine Davidson of Bayleys Whangarei is marketing a 5,300 square metre bareland site overlooking Omamari Beach on Northland's west coast.
The property, which is a 30 minute drive from Dargaville, is close to the well known Kai Iwi Lakes and offers panoramic views of the Tasman Sea and Ripiro Beach to the west and Omamari Beach community to the south.
The sidelings of the property are extensively planted in Pohutukawa, Karo and flaxes. Davidson says the property is cannot to be built out in future as the land opposite is owned by the Crown.
Davidson says Northland's west coast is renowned for its more than 100 kilometres of driveable beach which is popular with surf casters and other water sports and beach enthusiasts. The property is for sale by tender closing March 3. Contact David Roy or Lorraine Davidson on 09 470 0960.
