The Dairy Industry Awards has received 452 entries before Christmas for Share Farmer of the Year, Dairy Manager of the Year and Dairy Trainee of the Year, say organisers.
Information events for entrants and sponsors will be held in the regions, with Hawke's Bay/Wairarapa's event set for January 26, 10am to 2pm, at Tui HQ in Mangatainoka.
General manager Chris Keeping says the events are about providing an opportunity for entrants to meet, learn more about the awards and what they can expect, and have some fun with fellow entrants, organisers and sponsors.
"A big part of the awards is connecting people in the industry and feedback we receive reinforces that meeting other like-minded people is one of the major benefits from entering."
In Wairarapa, preliminary judging will take place throughout February, with an awards night at the Masterton War Memorial Stadium on March 21.
