'Prank robbers' caught

Three 16-year-olds have been referred to youth aid after police surrounded a Takapuna Bank during what turned out to be a "prank robbery".

Armed police were called to the bank after a note was found inside the building indicating a robbery was about to take place.

Police traced the note to three teenagers who had been in the bank earlier and had written a note as a prank.
