Police are urging a woman inappropriately approached from behind by a man while pushing a pram in Auckland's Mt Eden on Friday to contact them.
A witness watched the incident unfold on View Rd about 4.30pm, saying the young olive or dark-skinned woman was wearing orange shorts and turned to the alleged offender with the intention of hitting him with her drink bottle.
The witness chased the man off, then contacted police.
Officers arrested the man in a nearby street and he has been charged with offensive behaviour.
