The New Zealand Defence Force will fly a replacement power generator to Niue, which has been largely without electricity since a fire damaged its sole power station on Tuesday night. A Hercules C130, just returned from Timor Leste operations, will deliver it.
Three New Zealand-based technicians would complete the installation of the generator, control panel and switchboard and repair the existing smoke-damaged generator.
