About 1500 properties around Wanganui and south Taranaki remain without power after Saturday's weather bomb.
Powerco operations manager Phil Marsh said more than 200 staff are working to restore power, focusing on remote areas of Whanganui, Patea, Waverley and the Waitotara Valley today.
Powerco asked people to contact their electricity retailer if they are still without power, particularly if their neighbours have electricity.
"While there are a number of crews working to get all residents back on supply, it may be helpful if we can be pointed to individual properties," Mr Marsh said.
Saturday's storm has been described by Powerco as the most destructive ever to their network, with more than 600 overhead lines brought down and 30,000 customers originally without power.
