Power has been restored to a section of Auckland that lost electricity about midday today.
An automated message on electricity company Vector's phone line said there were power interruptions in the CBD, causes unknown.
A spokeswoman for the company, Philippa White, said at noon that technicians were going to the affected area around Beach Rd, on the base of Parnell.
About 90 connections had been lost, Ms White said.
Ms White said at 1pm that power had been restored.
The cause had been an underground fault off Quay St, she said.
