Power has been restored after hundreds of North Shore homes were left without supply following a car crash last evening.
Northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said the Fire Service was called just after 8.30pm to a report of the single-car crash on Nile Rd in Milford.
Power lines were down over the road after a car hit a power pole and the pole was "extremely unstable", Philips said.
One person received minor injuries in the crash. The area was cordoned off.
Electricity was partially restored, with some 500 homes still in the dark.
