Power outage affects over 80 properties in central Auckland shopping district

Over eighty properties are without power after a contractor struck a cable with a digger in central Auckland this afternoon.

The incident happened in David Crescent, Newmarket at about 1.30pm and over 84 customers are still without power.

At 6pm Vector said power had been restored to the area.
