KEY POINTS:
One person suffered minor injuries when a car collided with a power pole in Blockhouse Bay about 9.15am this morning.
The crash initially left 2000 homes without power.
A Vector spokeswoman said most homes had power restored within one hour, but some homes on Lewis St would be waiting longer as contractors repaired the broken pole.
Traffic was being diverted around the Donovan St crash scene while emergency services awaited the power contractors.
