A trio of trees have toppled power lines and led to a Porirua road being closed as repair crew arrive to clear the scene.
A section of Paekakariki Hill Rd, Porirua is closed as repairs to the powerlines are made and the road is cleared.
A police statement said the road was closed between Grays Road and the State Highway 1 intersection however residents are still able to access their homes between those roads.
Motorists are being advised to take SH1 instead.
