A volunteer Featherston fire crew doused a 1.30am blaze sparked by an arcing power line in South Wairarapa.
Arcing lines sparked a power pole fire on Ashbys Rd in South Wairarapa early yesterday morning.
A volunteer fire crew from Featherston doused the blaze, which broke out at the Lake Reserve site just before 1.30am, according to a fire service communication spokeswoman.
Power was cut in the area asline workers repaired damage caused in the blaze.
