Save The power is back on in north-eastern parts of Christchurch, following an outage last night.
People in parts of Dallington, Burwood, Shirley and Parklands were cut off when an object hit high voltage lines supplying the Dallington substation.
Orion says whatever hit the wires was destroyed, so it's impossible to
know what it was.
The blackout lasted just over two and a half hours.
