Power cut to nearly 4000 BOP homes

Powerco is still working to restore power, following a massive outage in Te Puke this morning.

Nearly 4,000 homes and businesses were without power until about midday, after a fault caused the blackout at 6.30 this morning.

Corporate affairs manager Neil Holdom, says all power was restored by midday, but another fault since then has caused more outages.

The cause of the blackout is under investigation.
