Around 3,000 Auckland homes are without power tonight as the wet weekend weather kicks in.
In West Auckland, more than 1,500 homes in Henderson, Avondale, New Lynn, Muriwai and Glen Eden were without power.
Northwest of Auckland, a further 1,199 homes in the Kaukapakapa and Kaipara Coast areas lost power.
On the North Shore, around 200 houses were without power in Takapuna.
It's hoped all areas should be back on the grid before 10pm, with Vector spokesperson Sandy Hodge saying weather is the most likely culprit.
