Defending champions Chanel College were beaten 26-18 by Wairarapa College B in the latest series of matches in the Wairarapa secondary schoolboys basketball competition played at the War Memorial Stadium in Masterton. Hendrik Mapusua had a strong game for Wairarapa College B scoring 8 points, while Rocky Coulson was a standout on defence. Simon Switzer and Ryan Brown were top value for Chanel.
Wairarapa College A beat Kuranui College A 65-21. Most valuable player was Michael McDermott with 18 points while others to shine for Wairarapa College A were Utah Walker and Gabriel Poona.
Kuranui's Conor Henare netted 13 points and was well supported by Finn Shepherd, who picked up several rebounds on defence.
