Former Olympian Tinks Pottinger of Tinui was back in the winner's circle at the New Zealand Horse of the Year Show at Hastings last weekend.
Pottinger won the lightweight walking show hunter class with Danny Deeckchair and the same combination was also placed fourth in the Walking Hunter of the Year.
Daughter Amanda Pottinger did well too, finishing second in the pony championship stakes show jumping on Hopeful Illusion and also placing second in the Pony Hunter of the Year and the working hunter pony over 142cm.
Anna Stephen of Martinborough took out the coveted New Zealand Speed Horse of the Year title on Constantine and Emma Williams (Masterton) ride Cricklewood Ace into second place
In the Young Rider of the Year.
Morgan Percy (Tinui) won the 1.10m Pony of the Year title on Surprise Illusion. They were involved in a jump-off against 21 others and prevailed through an excellent clear round
