A post-mortem will be carried out this morning on a man's body found in Ashburton.
The body was discovered yesterday afternoon in a water run-off near an industrial area of the south Canterbury town.
Police say the death is unexplained.
Detective Inspector Tom Fitzgerald hopes to have more information once the examination is complete.
