KEY POINTS:
A possum with a taste for inner-city living has continued his adventures by hitching a ride to an accounting conference and then bedding down in an Ellerslie garage for the night.
The possum was photographed casually moseying around the Gore St area on Tuesday and featured on the back page of Wednesday's Herald. It was last seen scurrying into a carpark on Quay St.
Its whereabouts remained a mystery until the possum was found by Brydon Davidson.

His car had been parked in the carpark.
Mr Davidson thought the possum must have climbed into his car's spoiler unit or "somewhere in the engine" before he drove to Remuera for an accounting conference. He then drove home to Ellerslie and parked.
He noticed droppings in the garage, looked under the car and "saw these two beady eyes looking at me".
"I remember seeing the photos in the Herald and then I was pretty damn certain it was the same possum."
He chased it away. "I thought we'd let it go this time. The thing looked pretty rough and like it had had a hard day."
