Police are examining a Christchurch address which may be connected to the death of a man who was found brutally assaulted and burnt near a popular lake in rural Canterbury on Monday.
Marcus Luke Tucker 36-year-old Christchurch man's body was found dumped near lake Lake Ellesmere on Drain Rd, Doyleston.
Detective Inspector Tom Fitzgerald said police were continuing their investigation into the death, which included a scene examination of an Addington address which they believe may be connected .
"We are appealing to any members of the public who may have seen or heard any vehicles driving in or out of Ruskin St, Addington, Christchurch and heading in the direction of Leeston on Sunday 24th April," Mr Tucker said.
Police yesterday confirmed Mr Tucker was brutally assaulted before his death and his body burnt.
