Possible baby assault investigated in Rotorua

Rotorua police are investigating a possible assault on a baby.

The condition of the infant, who is in the Starship hospital, was alternatively listed as critical and stable by police yesterday.

They are refusing to reveal details about the baby or its injuries, but confirmed they were examining the circumstances in which it came to be admitted to hospital.
