Porsche has released more details of its upcoming small SUV, which will be badged Macan - the Indonesian word for tiger.
The vehicle will fit in underneath its successful Cayenne and is set to compete against vehicles like Audi's Q5 and BMW's X series.
Production of the Macan will kick off in Leipzig in 2013 following a sweeping production plant expansion costing half a billion euro.
Porsche is, not suprisingly, light on details at this stage, other than an assurance that it will be very Porschey indeed.
"The Macan combines all sports car characteristics with the benefits of a SUV and is a genuine Porsche", said Porsche board member Bernhard Maier.
