Porn magnate Steve Crow has been convicted of directing a company while banned - but refuses to let it rain on his parade.
The Boobs on Bikes organiser said it was an economic decision to plead guilty and face a $5000 fine, rather than spend $40,000 defending the charge.
Despite being banned as a company director, he told the Herald on Sunday he would launch a new, "controversial" online business next weekend.
The guilty plea would not change his role with Boobs on Bikes and he was pressing on with plans for the next one on August 4.
Crow was banned last April by the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) from being a director for four years in Australia and New Zealand following the collapse of four of his companies.
He continued to organise the Boobs on Bikes parade, a role the MED said contravened his ban.
On Tuesday, Crow pleaded guilty at Auckland District Court despite claims he had done nothing wrong.
"I long ago learned there's no such thing as a justice system, there's a legal system. Unfortunately the legal system is very expensive and time-consuming," he said.
Crow said Boobs on Bikes was not a business because it did not make any money. He now describes himself as a consultant to the adult businesses he once led.
