Poor weather is continuing to hamper search and rescue efforts for missing tramper Alistair Levy in the Kahurangi National Park.
Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter pilot Jarrod Colbourne said low cloud had prevented a search near the summit of Mt Owen for the 54-year-old experienced tramper.
"We're hoping to get in today but we've been hoping that the last couple of days."
Mr Levy of Palmerston North left Nelson last Saturday morning. He sent a text message the next morning to say he had tramped to 1875m up Mt Owen and has not been heard from since.
