A tow truck driver had an involuntary swim yesterday retrieving a car which had rolled down a bank at Birkenhead wharf in Auckland.
Police were not sure last night how the Hyundai Sonata flipped into the sea from the carpark near Chelsea Bay, but believed it may have just been a case of "poor parking".
No one was seriously injured in the accident, but one of the two occupants was taken to North Shore Hospital for checks.
