An opinion poll published today shows Labour leading National by three points, a sharp contrast to a December 11 survey which put National ahead.
The National Business Review/UMR poll showed Labour on 43 per cent support and National on 40 per cent, both parties recording small gains since November.
The Green Party, on 7 per cent, and New Zealand First on 4 per cent, were both down slightly while Act (1.1 per cent), United Future (2.1 per cent) and the Maori Party (2.1 per cent) showed little change.
The December 11 Television One/Colmar Brunton poll showed National up two points to 46 per cent and Labour down three points to 37 per cent.
The only other post-election poll, published by the Sunday Star-Times on December 4, showed no change in support for the two main parties since the vote on September 17.
Today's NBR poll was conducted between December 8 and 12. It questioned 750 voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 per cent.
