National's tax cut package seems to be cutting the mustard with voters.
A poll in a national Sunday newspaper puts the party almost neck and neck with Labour.
The Nats are up to 39 per cent, and Labour has been clipped back to 40 per cent.
The paper says closer analysis reveals a more significant boost for National than the headline figures suggest.
It says National was six points ahead of Labour amongst people surveyed after the tax package was released.
