Alliance: Reverse new ACC law allowing private insurers to compete for workplace insurance. Pay full medical expenses, higher compensation levels, bring back lump sum compensation over time.
Labour: Reverse new ACC law allowing private insurers to compete for workplace insurance. Allow opt-out clause for employers to manage own claims and rehabilitation. Restore lump sum compensation of up to $100,000 for loss of physical or mental faculties and up to $15,000 for pain and suffering.
NZ First: Keep competition in workplace insurance. Allow employees to sue for expenses and lost future earnings if employer is negligent. Allow insurers to sue drunk drivers who cause injury.
National: Keep competition in workplace insurance. Introduce risk rating for ACC road accident cover, meaning drivers pay premiums based on their accident records. Investigate opening this area of ACC to competition.
Act: Privatise whole ACC scheme. Tax cuts would allow people to buy their own accident insurance. Taxpayers, not employers, to pay for ongoing claims of past accidents.

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS
Alliance: Repeal Employment Contracts Act. Require "good faith" bargaining, allow multi-union and multi-employer bargaining. Non-union workers covered by collective agreements and made to share costs. Employer-funded 12 weeks paid parental leave. Pay equity for women enforced through new Pay Equity Office. Raise minimum hourly wage 50c to $7.50. Raise minimum annual leave to four weeks.
Labour: Repeal Employment Contracts Act. Require "good faith" bargaining, allow multi-union and multi-employer bargaining. Six weeks taxpayer-funded paid parental leave, no change to three weeks minimum annual leave, review minimum wage.
NZ First: Amend Employment Contracts Act on casualisation, fair bargaining, bargaining agents. Raise minimum hourly wage 50c to $7.50.
National: Keep Employment Contracts Act. Allow employers to sack new workers inside probationary period, scrap Holidays Act, reconsider allowing workers to sell their holidays.
