Labour wants the Government to come clean on its privatisation agenda.
Auckland Issues spokesman Phil Twyford says National and ACT have decided to repeal the requirement on councils to consult the public before they privatise assets or contract out services.
He says the move's clearly designed to pave the way for privatisation of community-owned assets.
Mr Twyford says people should be worried about their water being sold off.
He says a couple of weeks ago the Government announced it wants private companies to own our water structure for periods of up to 35 years.
Mr Twyford says polls consistently show more than 80 per cent of Kiwis oppose privatisation.
