Labour had the support of 48 per cent of voters in the latest political poll - probably enough for it to govern alone, according to political scientist Nigel Roberts.
Labour rose 4 percentage points to 48 and National lost five points to 34 per cent support in the Sunday Star-Times-BRC poll.
Support for New Zealand First was unchanged at 5 per cent, the Greens were down one point to 5 per cent, Act was unchanged on 2 per cent, United Future was up three points to 4 per cent and the Maori Party was down 1 point to 1 per cent.
