KEY POINTS:
Orewa Rotarians have attracted another party leader for their annual state of the nation address - albeit the leader of a one-MP party.
Progressive's leader Jim Anderton, who is a Government minister, will address the Orewa Rotary Club in Orewa, about 30 minutes north of Auckland, on Tuesday. He will speak on Economic Challenges for New Zealand in 2008 and Beyond.
Former National leader the late Sir Robert Muldoon addressed the club annually in the 1970s, and former leader Don Brash revived the tradition in 2002.
Mr Brash's 2004 speech there, One Law for All, sent National surging in the polls.
But current National leader John Key, who ousted Dr Brash in 2006, dumped the venue last year in favour of his home town of Christchurch.
New Zealand First leader Winston Peters stepped up last year, and this year Mr Anderton will take the podium.
