KEY POINTS:
How do you relax?
Cooking, and I like drinking a glass of wine. I don't drink because I feel wound up, but I enjoy having a glass of wine or a beer and spending time with the family. Or I hop in the spa with the kids.
Favourite food?
Bluff oysters, but if it wasn't as specific it would be ethnic food - Indian, Chinese. We tend to go out as a family to restaurants quite a lot. Favourite dish to cook? The kids would moan and complain, but it would be roast on Sunday night. They were ecstatic I was going out last night because that meant I wasn't cooking. It meant they could have something more akin to what they wanted, which is probably macaroni cheese or something. But I cook a range of things. I've started cooking a bit of Japanese - katsudon (rice in a bowl topped with meat, egg and condiments) with beef fillets and things. When people come for dinner I always cook. I advise them to eat before they come and drink heavily when they're here. No one comes to our house for the food, trust me.
Last book you read?
Sari, which is a study of Indian women in New Zealand by Edwina Pio.
Last CD you bought?
Albertine by Brooke Fraser.
Do you go to movies?
We do go to the movies, although we've got a home theatre. But we go to the movies quite a bit because it's an event the whole family can enjoy. The kids are at an age where they don't always want to go and eat, but they want to do something. Max wants to go bowling, or wants to go to the driving range which I'll sometimes take him to, but Stephie doesn't want to do that so going to the movies is the compromise option.
Last film?
21. I saw that the week before I saw Indiana Jones. I highly rate 21. and don't rate Indiana Jones and I know that's not the way the box office shows things, but I thought he [Harrison Ford] was looking a bit old.
Henry or Deans?
Deans.
Blues or Crusaders?
Blues because otherwise Andy Dalton will kill me. No, any time it's not the Blues it's the Crusaders ... no, it's the Blues now I'm in Auckland.
Shortland St or Outrageous Fortune?
Don't watch either. Last suit you bought and how much was it? Canali suit. I bought it at Harrods in London and it was $2500.
What do you do for a treat?
Bluff oysters is a bit of a treat type of thing. It used to be go and play golf but I have so little time now I can't do that. Probably travel is the one thing we do a lot of as a family. We visit lots of places and go away together. We'll continue to do that, hopefully.
To treat Bronagh?
Well, I like buying her jewellery but I think she's arguing because she's had three engagement rings and I keep telling her I want to buy her number four. I like buying her jewellery.
