KEY POINTS:
Cabinet minister David Cunliffe is to face a private prosecution brought by a former immigration minister, Tuariki Delamere.
Mr Cunliffe was Minister of Immigration when the Serious Fraud Office unsuccessfully prosecuted Mr Delamere in relation to his work as an immigration consultant.
Mr Delamere was found not guilty in March on 14 fraud and forgery charges. He is accusing Mr Cunliffe of 21 charges of blackmail, obtaining by deception and contravention of statute.
