KEY POINTS:
It may be one of the biggest parties on the sporting calendar but police are warning the capacity crowd at this weekend's rugby sevens tournament in Wellington not to party too hard.
The third round of the International Rugby Board series hits Wellington on Friday and Saturday, and police are urging the 35,000-strong crowd to enjoy themselves but stay out of trouble.
Acting Inspector Jason Ross, police operations commander for the event, said police would not tolerate disorderly or drunken behaviour that interfered with the enjoyment and safety of others.
"People who drink too much, get into fights or other unruly behaviour will find themselves ejected from the stadium or arrested," Mr Ross said.
