Tauranga police are warning of bogus raffle tickets being sold.
A a man in his 40s or 50s has recently been approaching businesses and selling what appear to be raffle tickets for a Greerton rugby fundraiser.
The fake tickets offer a prize of groceries and alcohol, but Greerton Marist Rugby Club administrator Nicky Mead, says the club has no knowledge of the tickets being sold.
In 10 minutes, the man made $15.00 selling to city businesses. Police are asking anyone approached by him, to contact them immediately.
