The vast number of texts on a West Coast woman's cellphone prompted police to seek an adjournment to a Greymouth District Court case yesterday to give officers time to scroll through them.
Ann Marie Joyce Ferguson, 21, has been charged with allowing her premises to be used for the consumption of cannabis.
However, police prosecutor sergeant Graham Single asked that the case be put off for a month because police had to sort through 26,000 text messages before deciding whether to lay further charges.
