Not quite pennies from heaven on Auckland's southern motorway, but something pretty close.
Twenty dollar notes have been fluttering around the Te Irirangi Drive off ramp after a wallet was dropped.
Police said three cars stopped to pick up the cash before continuing on their way.
Inspector Earl McIntosh said the money needed to be returned to its rightful owner and called on the motorists and the owner of the wallet to come forward.
"They've stolen the money. It's not theirs. We're trying to find out who they are but it's going to be quite difficult," he said
